Our Roots

In 1975, Howard Klatzky saw the need for a results-driven consumer advertising and public relations agency with a deep commitment to the success of its clients and community. He didn’t want his work to be just work; he wanted an emotional attachment—and the chance to share the thrill of victory. As the agency grew, so did its impact. With a small roster of clients, Howard produced work that stood out. And people noticed.

The Redstone
Soon, the small agency wasn’t so small. It moved into the Redstone, a three-story Victorian mansion in Duluth, Minnesota. Designed by renowned architect, Oliver G. Traphagen, in 1892, the Redstone served as the home to mining tycoon Chester Congdon and his family from 1897 to 1908 while their new home, the famous Glensheen Mansion, was being built. Years later, it was converted to a rental property and remained as such for nearly 70 years. Then, on the verge of being condemned in 1986, Howard bought and restored the storied space.

Today, you’ll still find H.T. Klatzky & Associates at the Redstone. Building brands. Rehabilitating perception. Sharing success stories. Because the vision that inspired an agency as unique as the people who work here is alive and well.
